Parents and Youth Ministry

I am looking for a little give and take on this one. If you are, were, or in the future will be or may be the parent of a student in 6th - 12th grade who is involved in a Youth Ministry program I have a few questions.

1) What things would you like to be informed about?
2) If you could ask a youth pastor any question what would it be?
3) If you volunteer what are your reasons and if you don't why (just wondering)?
4) What form of communication would you prefer?
5) Would you attend meetings? If so how often and what day of the week?

Thanks for all your help.

1. The more information about what goes on the better. The sooner on activities so they can be added to the ever changing and busy schedule. what is being taught - even podcasting the talks to listen in every so often or for my daughter to listen to.
2. What is your mission statement for this youth program - what do you want to see changed in a studnets life in the few years they are in the program.
3. My daughter does not want me involved - she feels my youth involement would make the program boring.
4. Email would be best to make sure parents received it - announcements from the front on Sunday mornings, in the bulletin are also good reminders. The ministry needs to be mentioned constantly and those leading need to be seen so that parents know them and feel comfortable with them.
5. Meeting - parents meeting are a good way to get to know the leadership better and if it fit into the schedule I would be there.
